Treat prospecting like a discovery call, not a monologue. This guide on sales prospecting call says: Research their company’s latest blog post, mention it in the opener, and ask open-ended questions (‘How’s the merger impacting your team?’). I tried it, got a CEO to rant for 10 minutes about supply chains, then booked a demo. So let them talk first pretty much like in that one episode of the Office. Your product can wait.
